New year, new Ru-solutions.
Ahead of the new season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” cast members Olivia Lux, Rosé, Tamisha Iman and Gottmik are dishing on what they hope to accomplish in the new year— besides winning the show, of course.
“Bouncing off Olivia, I think my number one resolution of 2021 is to get that wig off her head and snatch it for myself, I mean it is stunning,” Rosé joked, before adding that she would probably want to lose five pounds and stay mentally healthy.
As for Tamisha, she is ready to enjoy every moment of the new year.
“So many people have lost their lives during this unfortunate time, and we have to be grateful that we are still here,” Tamisha told us. “Regardless of how tough life gets and whatever comes your way, just take the moment to enjoy your life and appreciate that you’re still here.”
Gottmik, the show’s first trans man, meanwhile has big plans to channel former cast members Milk and Kameron Michaels and “work his boy bod out so hard.”
“I want to be muscle queen by the end of 2021,” Gottmik laughed.
And finally, Olivia is looking to improve her decisiveness.
“I have a reason for that,” she explained. “I mean, I decided to audition for the show, just taking a risk and I’m so happy that I did that.
“So I think in 2021, going for the gold, going with your instincts, just trusting yourself and being a little bit more decisive, especially when deciding what you’re new year’s resolutions are going to be.”
Season 13 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” premieres at 8 p.m. on VH1 on New Year’s Day.
