Christina Anstead‘s estranged husband, Ant, is opening up about their divorce! As it turns out, he did not want to separate and that was apparently all her decision! Fans know that the now-former pair tied the knot in December of 2018 and they also share a one year old son named Hudson.
Christina is the mother of two other kids, 10 year old Taylor and 5 year old Brayden from her previous marriage with Tarek El Moussa.
Now, during an interview with People, Ant shared about the split that ‘I think everyone knows this was not my decision. It really hit me hard. If you ask anyone that knows me properly, they know I give myself fully. I had so much love for her.’
This comes after Christina confirmed they were over back in September.
On the other hand, Ant remained silent ‘while holding on to hope,’ as he went on to finally reveal later on.
Back then, he stressed that ‘I never gave up on us. I pray Christina’s decision brings her happiness.’
The divorce papers were filed by the Flip or Flop star last month and now, Ant tells the news outlet that the whole thing left him in a really ‘dark place.’
As for the way he was able to escape that darkness, the man shared that he signed up for a five-week program that teaches broken up people to ‘grieve your relationship so you can let it go.’
In addition to that, Ant has also lost no less than 20 pounds!
‘I reached a turning point… had the choice to dwell on it, or to move on and work on myself. It is up to me to empower myself and to realize how incredibly worthy I am of healing. Not only have I improved my mental health, I’ve made a decision to improve my physical health, as well. For the first time, I am actually now taking vitamins!’ he explained about the program and how he’s evolved through it.
